The world plunged into darkness
Within the wilds of Midgard, the deceased roam freely under the glaring sun. Rivers now flow with burning water, Valkyries no longer guide fallen warriors to Valhalla, and a sinister force lurks in the shadows of forests and gorges. This catastrophic state of affairs is the doing of the goddess Hel, who has cursed these lands with her nefarious black magic in a mere 15 days. Now, she seeks to enslave the realm of the living!
Death no longer exists
You are an immortal and valiant Jarl, leading the army of northern warriors who defy death itself. Healers and shamans are perplexed by this inexplicable phenomenon, as the path to Valhalla has been sealed shut. Consequently, your only recourse is to arm yourself and banish these creatures of darkness back to Helheim!
No man is an island
Frostborn is an engaging co-op survival game imbued with MMORPG elements. Forge alliances with other Vikings to construct a formidable base, confront lurking creatures in shadowed corners and god-infested shrines, and clash against fellow players during raids and spontaneous encounters across countless locations and dungeons.
Berserk, mage or assassin - the choice is yours
Select from a wide array of RPG-style classes that suit your preferred play style. Do you revel in heavy armor and face-to-face battle? Choose between the Protector, Berserk, or Thrasher! Or perhaps you enjoy keeping your distance and launching arrows at enemies from afar? The Pathfinder, Sharpshooter, or Hunter will serve you well! Engage in trade with other players or launch ambushes and assassinations within the untamed wilderness of Midgard. Form pacts with other factions to mutually safeguard against raids, or betray their trust, exposing their secrets in exchange for valuable resources. Utilize the intricate crafting system reminiscent of authentic MMORPGs to equip yourself for the daunting task of defeating the darkness spawned by the sinister magic of the goddess Hel.
